Losing a parent is so weird

Losing a parent is so weird because you go through the rest of your life not being able to see or talk to them ever again but you still feel like you will. Every once in awhile it all just hits you that they are literally never coming back and you feel the feeling of losing them all over again.

There is no death, daughter. People only die when we forget them,’ my mother explained shortly before she left me. ‘If you can remember me, I will be with you always.’” –Isabel Allende

“Mothers never really die, they just keep the house up in the sky. They polish the sun by day and light the stars that shine at night, keep the moonbeams silvery bright and in the heavenly home above they wait to welcome those they love.” –Helen Steiner Rice

'Life has to end,' she said. 'Love doesn't.'"

"When someone we love dies, the hardest part is not letting go of whom we have lost, it's finding the strength and courage to move forward without them."

"The very worst part of grief is that you can't control it. The best we can do is try to let ourselves feel it when it comes. And let it go when we can." — Grey's Anatomy

God sometimes takes us into troubled waters not to drown us but to cleanse us.

Appreciate those who gossip about you

Appreciate those who gossip about you. It's not easy for someone to leave their own problems and carry yours on their head.

If we all said to people’s faces what we say behind one another’s backs, society would be impossible.

Gossip isn’t scandal and it’s not merely malicious. It’s chatter about the human race by lovers of the same.

“I think if I’ve learned anything about friendship, it’s to hang in, stay connected, fight for them, and let them fight for you. Don’t walk away, don’t be distracted, don’t be too busy or tired, don’t take them for granted. Friends are part of the glue that holds life and faith together. Powerful stuff.” —Jon Katz

“Never leave a friend behind. Friends are all we have to get us through this life—and they are the only things from this world that we could hope to see in the next.” —Dean Koontz

“Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.” —Anais Nin

So live that you wouldn’t be ashamed to sell the family parrot to the town gossip.

Some families are successful because of this

Some families are successful not because they are rich, but because they support one another.

"If minutes were kept of a family gathering, they would show that 'Members not Present' and 'Subjects Discussed' were one and the same." - Robert Brault

"Remember, as far as anyone knows, we're a nice, normal family." - Homer Simpson

"Blood makes you related, Love makes you family." - Unknown

"A family is a place where minds come in contact. If these minds love one another, the home will be as beautiful as a flower garden. But if these minds get out of harmony with one another, it is like a storm that plays havoc with the garden." - Buddha

"In the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make." - Paul McCartney

"The only rock I know that stays steady, the only institution I know that works, is the family." - Lee Iacocca

"What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family." - Mother Teresa

"The family – that dear octopus from whose tentacles we never quite escape, nor, in our inmost hearts, ever quite wish to." - Dodie Smith

"The family is the test of freedom; because the family is the only thing that the free man makes for himself and by himself." – Gilbert K. Chesterton

"What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family." - Mother Teresa

Being alive is the special occasion

Stop saving clothes and shoes for special occasions.
Wear them whenever you can. Being alive is the special occasion!

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Albert Einstein

We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone. Orson Welles

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. Martin Luther King, Jr.

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. John F. Kennedy

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

World's best happiness

Happiness is when you realize your children have turned out to be good people.

One of the luckiest things that can happen to you in life is, I think, to have a happy childhood

Every year, when you're a child, you become a different person.

As children, we all live in a world of imagination, of fantasy, and for some of us that world of make-believe continues into adulthood.

“The most powerful way to change the world is to live in front of our children the way we would like the world to be.” – Graham White

“We must remember that one day our children are going to follow our example instead of our advice.” – Carolina King

“If your children fear you, they cannot trust you. If they don’t trust you, they cannot learn from you.” – Lori Petro

“So often children are punished for being human. Children are not allowed to have grumpy moods, bad days, disrespectful tones, or bad attitudes. Yet, us adults have them all the time. None of us are perfect. We must stop holding our children to a higher standard of perfection than we can attain ourselves.” – Rebecca Eanes

“The point of parenting is not to have all the answers before we start out but instead to figure it out on the go as our children grow. Because as they do, so will we.” – Bridgett Miller

“Where did we ever get the crazy idea that in order to make children do better, first we have to make them feel worse? Think of the last time you felt humiliated or treated unfairly. Did you feel like cooperating or doing better?” – Jane Nelsen

“13 things children need more of: unstructured play, nature, hugs, freedom to explore, playtime with parents, laughter, simplicity, belief in their goodness, daily rhythms and rituals, expressed gratitude for who they are, a calm environment, compassion, a shoulder to cry on.”

A Mother is always a Mother

A Mother is always a Mother. No matter how many times you break her heart, she never stops worrying about her children and never stops praying for them.❤️

A Mother is an amazing person. She gives life, she nurtures, she teaches, she cares. She is strong, she is vibrant, she is versatile. She is loyal, she is dedicated, she is diverse. A mother is by no means perfect and every mother makes mistakes. However, she learns as she goes and becomes stronger by the day. There is nobody more determined, there is nobody more committed and there is nobody more dependable than a mother. ~ by Dave Hedges

I feel lucky to have a mother who always cares so much for me; When I am lonely and need some love I go to mom And I get loved; If I need food to get my strength I'll go to mom And I'll be fed ; She always helps If I'm in need so thank you mom for all your love.

She is the creature of life, the giver of life, and the giver of abundant love, care and protection. Such are the great qualities of a mother. The bond between a mother and her child is the only real and purest bond in the world, the only true love we can ever find in our lifetime. -Ama H.Vanniarachchy

That was my mom. You were the most amazing person and mother. I felt so lucky and blessed that you were my mom. I miss you so very much. You are no longer here physically but I know you are always with me. Thank you for the person that I have become. 😍

I remember everything about her and will always love and cherish her.💕She was loving, funny and happy. I had the best mom on this world. I love you and miss you all the time. Thanks for watching over me and my family.

My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I am I owe to my mother. I attribute all my success in life to the moral, intellectual and physical education I received from her. - George Washington

“I'm A Mother! Never underestimate me! I know more than I say, and notice more than you realize… I have superpowers and eyes in the back of my head!”

Don't pay attention to what people say behind your back

Don't listen to what people say behind you, A lion never look back when dogs bark. Your God is stronger than their witchcrafts.

Some people are real, some people are good, some people are fake and some people are real good at being fake.

It's not about who is real to your face. It's about who stays real behind your back.

Don't worry about what people say behind your back, they are the people who are finding faults in your life instead fixing the faults in their own life.

It is hard to deal with someone who smiles and pretends to like you to your face and sticks that eight inch blade in your back when you turn around.

Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.

Better to have an enemy who slaps you in the face than a friend who stabs you in the back.

Every day we have plenty of opportunities to get angry, stressed or offended. But what you're doing when you indulge these negative emotions is giving something outside yourself power over your happiness. You can choose to not let little things upset you.

Anyone can stay true to your face, it's the people who stay true behind your back that really count.

Avoid him who talks sweetly before you but tries to ruin you behind your back, for he is like a pitcher of poison with milk on top.

Just because they say they're praying for you in your face, doesn't mean they aren't laughing at your struggle behind your back.- Trent Shelton

Never be ashamed of your work

Never be ashamed of the type of work you do, A small salary is better than waiting for someone to give you money.

The most important things are the hardest things to say. They are the things you get ashamed of because words diminish your feelings - words shrink things that seem timeless when they are in your head to no more than living size when they are brought out. Stephen King

Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work. Mother Teresa

Never be ashamed of who you are, your story, or how you react to situations. Don't ever be ashamed of how you communicate with people. Don't ever be ashamed of the person you are. Be you. Roddy Ricch

A return to first principles in a republic is sometimes caused by the simple virtues of one man. His good example has such an influence that the good men strive to imitate him, and the wicked are ashamed to lead a life so contrary to his example. Niccolo Machiavelli

I don't think you should be ashamed of anybody that you know that has AIDS. You should stand as close to them as you can and help them out as much as you can. I'm a strong believer in that and that's why I try to do that for everyone I know that has the virus. Marsha P. Johnson

Frustate them with your Silence

Never respond to insults. The main purpose of an insulter is to make you act without thinking. Frustate them with your silence.

A happy life must be to a great extent a quiet life, for it is only in an atmosphere of quiet that true joy can live.

Silence is an answer to a wise man.

It is better either to be silent or to say things of more value than silence. Sooner throw a pearl at hazard than an idle or useless word; and do not say a little in many words but a great deal in a few.

“It is better either to be silent or to say things of more value than silence. Sooner throw a pearl at Hazard than an idle or useless word; and do not say a little in many words but a great deal in a few.” – Pythagoras

“Let silence be your goal for the most part; say only what is necessary, and be brief about it. On the rare occasions when you’re called upon to speak, then speak, but never about banalities like gladiators, horses, sports, food and drink—common-place stuff…”– Epictetus

Silence is the best answer to someone who doesn't value your words

It's OK

It's OK: To repeat clothes. To use an old phone. To buy 2nd hand items. To live in a small home. It's ok to live a simple life.

A Mother's Dream

No one can ever love their kids like their Mom. I wish I could leave this world when the time comes, knowing that my children will do fine. I love them so much. I can only pray that what I have taught them will keep them safe and loved when I am no longer here.

Being Mother is the highest paid job in the world, since the payment is in pure love.

“My mother has always been my emotional barometer and my guidance. I was lucky enough to get to have one woman who truly helped me through everything.” —Emma Stone

“I believe in the strength and intelligence and sensitivity of women. My mother, my sisters [they] are strong. My mum is a strong woman and I love her for it.” —Tom Hiddleston

“I remember my mother’s prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life.” —Abraham Lincoln

“My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I am I owe to my mother. I attribute my success in life to the moral, intellectual and physical education I received from her.” —George Washington

I know how much my mother loves including my dad I feel their love and I know that no one can ever love me like they do no matter how good or bad I have been they have always had my back and I can’t love them enough there is nothing that they haven’t done for me or my children. Me as a mom I can’t love my kids enough no matter how they are to me my love to them will always be unconditional and I know no one can ever love them like I do.

Don't force yourself with people who don't like you

The only people I want in my life are the ones who truly want me in theirs.

The only people I want in my life are the ones who truly want me in theirs. Sometimes it hurts me to know I'm not wanted. It takes a lot of rejection before I finally GET it! But once I get it - I've GOT it!

Sometimes the people feel withdrawn from the circles of friendships and relatives not bcoz of conduct or conscience but of age.

So you want to be happy? Then stop letting the smallest things ruin your whole entire day. If you're bored with your daily routine, do something unexpected. Stop complaining about how alone you are when you're surrounded by people who actually care about you. Forget all the drama and let go of all the grudges you've been holding. Take a risk for once. Let yourself be happy, because you deserve it.

It is not what happens that make you stressed or unhappy, but how you react or think about the situation that makes it worst or better. Do not sweat the small stuff, move on, and be happy.

Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy. ~ Norman Vincent Peale

Teach your children to greet each other

Teach your children to greet each other when they wakeup,
they'll never forget to check on each other when they grow up.

Manners are free, to be Kind

There is no excuse for not teaching kids to say please and thank you. Manners are free.

"Friends and good manners will carry you where money won't go." —Margaret Walker

"Politeness is like an air-cushion—there may be nothing in it, but it wonderfully eases the joltings along the rough road of life." —H.W. Beecher

"Respect for ourselves guides our morals; respect for others guides our manners." —Laurence Sterne

"Speak with caution. Even if someone forgives harsh words you've spoken, they may be too hurt to ever forget them. Don't leave a legacy of pain and regret of things you never should have said." —Germany Kent

"If you happen to displease any of them, be always ready to make a frank apology. But the best way is to act with so much politeness, good manners, and circumspection, as never to have occasion to make any apology." —Alexander Hamilton

"The line between the public life and the private life has been erased, due to the rapid decline of manners and courtesy. There is a certain crudeness and crassness that has suddenly become accepted behavior, even desirable." ―Fannie Flagg

People always remember bad stories

The story of your life is in your hands. You alone have the power to write the next chapter.
No matter where you began or what happened along the way, you have the power to get to where you're supposed to be.

Lessons learned the hard way will stick with you forever.

The more impressed someone seems to be with themselves, the less impressive I find them to be.

I truly believe that everything that we do and everyone that we meet is put in our path for a purpose.

There are no accidents; we're all teachers - if we're willing to pay attention to the lessons we learn, trust our positive instincts and not be afraid to take risks or wait for some miracle to come knocking at our door. Marla Gibbs

Even if you hear a bad story about me, understand, there was a time I was good to those people too, but they won't tell you that part.

To all the special people in my life

Today is just another day, nothing special going on, but I just wanted to say thank you to the special people in my life, my family and friends who bless me each and every day by being a part of my life. I'm sharing this to tell you all that It just wouldn't be the same without you. Thank you

I want to say thank you to the few individuals in my life who have listened without judgement, and loved me without conditions. You're really special to me.

“Thank you for coming into my life and giving me joy, thank you for loving me and receiving my love in return. Thank you for the memories I will cherish forever. But most of all, thank you for showing me that there will come a time when I can eventually let you go. ”― Nicholas Sparks

“God gave you a gift of 84,600 seconds today. Have you used one of them to say thank you?”― William Arthur Ward

“A little "thank you" that you will say to someone for a "little favour" shown to you is a key to unlock the doors that hide unseen "greater favours". Learn to say "thank you" and why not?”― Israelmore Ayivor

“Thank you“ might be the hardest word to say. We may wonder, what can be so castrating about embracing gratitude? Some think it causes fear of loss, while it unleashes indistinct anxiety of losing independence or self-control. Gratefulness might come down to an undying struggle against oblivion. It could amount to a lasting burden for maintaining the infallibility of their memory. In short, for some, thankfulness is a box of Pandora. ("Thank God for the Belgian chocolate ")”― Erik Pevernagie
