Losing a parent is so weird

Losing a parent is so weird because you go through the rest of your life not being able to see or talk to them ever again but you still feel like you will. Every once in awhile it all just hits you that they are literally never coming back and you feel the feeling of losing them all over again.

There is no death, daughter. People only die when we forget them,’ my mother explained shortly before she left me. ‘If you can remember me, I will be with you always.’” –Isabel Allende

“Mothers never really die, they just keep the house up in the sky. They polish the sun by day and light the stars that shine at night, keep the moonbeams silvery bright and in the heavenly home above they wait to welcome those they love.” –Helen Steiner Rice

'Life has to end,' she said. 'Love doesn't.'"

"When someone we love dies, the hardest part is not letting go of whom we have lost, it's finding the strength and courage to move forward without them."

"The very worst part of grief is that you can't control it. The best we can do is try to let ourselves feel it when it comes. And let it go when we can." — Grey's Anatomy

God sometimes takes us into troubled waters not to drown us but to cleanse us.

Beautiful Parent's Prayer

A parent's prayer. Thank you for my children, Lord; I know they are a gift from you. Daily I need your strength and wisdom to train them in the way they should go. Give me patience and a joyful heart, let me be a example of your love and forgiveness. Thank you, Father, for the honor of being a parent. Amen.

As a parent we must be thankful to God for children. Children are a gift from God. We truly do need His strength and wisdom in raising our children. There can be trying and difficult times. We must also train them up right and in the way of the Lord and not in the way of the World or Mans way. Patience, is something really needed when raising a child and something great to ask God for. But be careful this this request, because God just may give you what you ask for. Most of the time it is through going through situations to build us. We must learn our children are not perfect and they will sin too, just like us. We must forgive them. If God forgave us, we should also forgive them too. It is also great to thank God for the honor or being a parent.
