Spending time doesn’t mean come hang and watch me work then leave, it means you make time specifically for someone when you are not distracted by everything else so you can talk, get to know each other, understand etc. The fun and hanging out with everyone comes later. It’s about one on one not groupy time, otherwise its just too many well meaning people cutting in on quality time.
