Someone.

Find someone who loves you well. Someone who never belittles you. Even in the heat of an argument. Someone who is gentle with you, but does not treat you like you are fragile. Someone who knows what you are capable of, and celebrates those pieces of you. Not someone who is intimidated by your strength. Someone who can call you out for being a brat, but doesn’t make you feel guilty for being flawed. It is not love’s job to punish you. And remember the person you love is just as broken as you are when they fall short. No one is perfect – do not hold them to this standard. Find someone who is patient, forgiving, and apologetic. Someone who practices forgiveness freely and often. Love someone who is humble, kind, and empathetic. Not only with you, but with a beggar on the street, or a stranger in the supermarket. Common courtesy is important. Compassion is important. Kindness is important.

I like to wait a few days and re-contact a person to see how they feel after their anger has settled. Give them the benefit of the doubt. If they haven’t changed their mind, I’m not pursuing it. I just don’t have the energy. So, if you don’t hear from me, remember something: that is what “you” wanted.

Sometimes a Good Heart doesn’t see the bad

Forgive yourself for the blindness that put you in the path of those who betrayed you. Sometimes a good heart doesn't see the bad.

The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that situation is over, you cannot move forward.

Sometimes God puts you in their path, for you may be the only God that they may ever see to expose apostasy, deceit, and unrighteousness by bringing them the light, the truth, and guiding them to a better life. God gives us all purposes, it is up to us to accept and be used by God. He never said the cause of Jesus Christ would be easy, but that it would be worth it. Our Savior Jesus Christ never shirked his responsibility of saving a sinful world even though he was rebuked, reviled, persecuted, betrayed, and crucified, he found forgiveness in His heart even to the point of death on the cross. - Myrna Johnson
