Happiness is the only thing that matters

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter who's stronger, smarter, prettier or richer. The only thing that matters is whether you're happy or not.

“Our capacity to draw happiness from aesthetic objects or material goods in fact seems critically dependent on our first satisfying a more important range of emotional or psychological needs, among them the need for understanding, for love, expression and respect.”– Alain De Botton

“The true secret of happiness lies in the taking a genuine interest in all the details of daily life.”– William Morris

“Happiness consists more in conveniences of pleasure that occur everyday than in great pieces of good fortune that happen but seldom.”– Benjamin Franklin

“To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one’s family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one’s own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.”– Buddha

“Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better to take things as they come along with patience and equanimity.”– Carl Jung

Use kind words or be silent

Never say mean words out of anger. Your anger will pass. But your mean words can scar a person for life. So use kind words or be silent.

“When the person you love can't see your love for them beneath the painful things you say when they reject you, remember this: Love is blind.”― Shannon L. Alder

"Be careful with your words. Once they are said, they can be only forgiven, not forgotten." -Unknown

"Be careful what you say. You can say something hurtful in ten seconds, but ten years later, the wounds are still there." -Joel Osteen

"If we understood the power of our thoughts, we would guard them more closely. If we understood the awesome power of our words, we would prefer silence to almost anything negative. In our thoughts and words, we create our own weaknesses and our own strengths. Our limitations and joys begin in our hearts. We can always replace negative with positive." -Betty Eadie
